A Few More Makes

A couple of months ago Josie chose the Dresden plate design in blue for her block of the month and this spectacular block came in last week. It was made (in error) far too large, but Pat Mc gave it to Josie to add to her collection. As a result it will probably be made into a special centrepiece, surrounded by Josie's standard sized plates.
I've added a 6 inch ruler in the bottom right corner to show the scale.

Pat B showed us this amazing appliquéd train quilt that she had completed......
It was made in strips and used the "Quilt as you go"method.
Apologies that the photos aren't a very good resolution.

Lorna is progressing so well with her animal quilt and showed us the latest editions to her menagerie.
Two Zebras....
and two camels all in perfect fabrics.
The Millennium Centre, where we meet, is used by the community. In the afternoon there is a  children's play group and there were some super Easter Bonnets on display in the room next to us.

Group Membership
Due to a couple of our members having to leave us through health reasons, we are now able to offer their places in the group.
If anyone can manage to get to Liverpool for two Wednesdays a month and would like to share quilting skills, fun and friendship, in a pleasant spacious environment, please leave a comment with contact info (which will not be published) and we will get back to you with full details. We are a mixed level of skills, styles, and interests and beginners are welcome but, please note that,  whilst we have occasional workshops, we do not have regular formal teaching sessions. As you can see on this blog, we also make smaller items such as bags, hangings, seasonal decorations and, each month we set a block challenge.

As well as our quilting sessions we organise days out to shows and places of interest.
